SALI's Farm offers a permanent home to abused and neglected animals. These animals are often considered "useless" because they are severely injured. We will provide our animals a home suited to their individual species needs and that replicates as closely as possible their natural environment. SALI's model is based on the human/animal bond and partnering with farm animals to help at-risk children.

Rescue Date: April 11, 2015

A group of bunnies is called a Fluffle,
And they have caused quite a kerfuffle
We worked closely with Rabbitat Rescue and built our very own indoor and outdoor rabbitat at SALI's Farm.   On a rainy day in April, we welcomed 8 beautiful rabbits to our farm sanctuary: Vanilla Bean, Misto, Java, Cuba, Starbucks, Mocha, Macchiato, and Jamaica.  They each have their own unique story, personality, colour, and size.  Most of them are quite large due to being from a meat breeder that was going out of business.  We still haven't managed to get a photo with all 8 - this is a job for a video camera - as they all move in and out of camera view!

Sitting in the Rabbitat is just the ticket for at-risk children with ADHD, as the bunnies will only come over for a kiss if they are calm and quiet.
