SALI volunteers are a highly respected part of the SALI Team. 

They are passionate and committed to making a difference in the lives of at-risk children and at-risk animals.

We are looking for individuals who are kind, flexible and able to commit for a minimum of 6 months. SALI provides training, support and opportunities to use your special skills and learn new ones.

Animal & Facility Care Volunteers for SALI's Farm.

Volunteers come to the farm one shift per week, to care for the facility and animals: horses, cows, goats, chickens, rabbits, cats.

 The Team Shifts are 9-11 AM or 3-5 PM and the shifts that are currently available are: 

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday AM/PM 


Make a difference in the life of a child.

No Current need for Children's Program Volunteers at this time.

Children's Program volunteers are encouraged to learn animal care before they start with the children, so consider getting involved now with animal care. 

The children's program runs  1 x 3hr day per week for 8 weeks.


Volunteer Requirements

- Be willing to commit to volunteering 1 day per week for a minimum of 6 months

- 19 years of age or older (minors welcome to volunteer with parental/guardian supervision)

- Kindness and compassion!

- Children's Program volunteers must have a criminal background check

Volunteer Orientation

The Next orientation Date is: 

Thursday January 17th @ 7pm

The Orientation is about an hour long and is designed to answer all of the questions you may have about joining our team. 

(not suitable for children, they find it very boring)

The orientation & training sessions are held at the farm in South Surrey near Redwood Park. Due to privacy concerns, we do not post the address publicly; the exact address and directions will be provided once you confirm your attendance.
